Important: Shut down the computer completely, unplug the AC adapter, and remove any microSD card before starting.
Step 1: Remove the base cover
- Remove the eight screws (M2×3, Torx T5) securing the base cover.
- Place your thumbs and fingers into the recess at the top edge of the base cover.
- Use both thumbs to gently pry the cover loose.
- Pry along the sides with your hands and lift the base cover away from the palm-rest assembly.
Step 2: Disconnect the battery cable
- Loosen the captive screw securing the battery connector bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
